Put simply, counselling is not about giving advice or telling you what to do – it believes that each of us holds the key to our own inner knowledge and wisdom.
The counselling sessions are structured in a such a way that it is your time, to think only of your own personal progress and development, without interruption and at your own pace. It will help you to untangle your thoughts and work your own way through what might be very emotional territory.
Counselling offers you the opportunity to gain a much deeper insight into yourself, tapping into your inner strengths and resources in helping you to resolve any difficulties or complexities that you might be experiencing right now.
If you feel that you need more information on counselling, have a look at the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) website. You will see that I am a member of the BACP and abide by their strict Code of Ethics, Complaints Procedure and Guidelines.
